Abstract


High range resolution is reached by pulse synthsis of stepped frequency pulsesignal, it can decrease the sample rate of system. The system complexity is low and it iseasy to implement. This system will become an important development trent in the highrange resolution radar and target identification system in the future. First, this paperdiscusses the high range resolution principles of the stepped frequency pulse signal andthe stepped frequency modulation pulse signal. Then, the effect of target movement onsynthesis is considered. In order to compensate the movement, the target velocity ismeasured by single linear frequency modulation pulse.The design of system parametersis discussed. At last, the software and hardware implemention of this system ispresented in detail. According to the paraments of the system, the computation amountand the data communication amount are analyzed, the hardware design of the system isintroduced summarily,then based on the optimized fast algorithm,the programing of thepulse compression algorithm using TS101 is discussed in detail, the method of datacommunication through the link port transmission is also given.
