Abstract


Ageing of population is a main problem in the social and economic development process in 21st century. China had been entered the group of ageing country since 2000, ageing of population especially ageing of rural population has become a barrier of social and economic sustainable development in our country. Because of the influence from the dualistic social and economic structure in urban and rural areas, the retirement pension system shows the feature of dualistic which cannot satisfy the need of urban and rural residents. As a result, the essay considers that building the retirement pension system for the integration of urban and rural areas is an efficient path to deal with the ageing of population tendency and to achieve the strategic target of constructing harmonious socialist society. Furthermore, the essay also puts forward a compose about the construction of the retirement pension system for integration of urban and rural areas, which comes from an analysis on necessity and feasibility of constructing the retirement pension system for integration of urban and rural areas. And the analysis is based on the trace back to the formation and development of urban and rural areas retirement support in our country.The essay is divided into six parts:the first part is an introduction, which puts an emphasize on explaining the background of the selected topic, the summary of the research both at home and outside, as well as the aim, methods and meaning of the essay writing. The second part defines the concept of integration of urban and rural areas, dualistic structure in urban and rural areas, and retirement pension system as well. On the other hand, the second part makes a brief introduction on the certain thoughts and theories which are mentioned among western countries, Marxist classical writers and ancient China. The third part is a brief trace back to the formation and development of the retirement pension system in urban and rural areas since the founding of the People’s Republic of China. Basing on this, the following of the third part makes an analysis on the differences of current retirement pension system in urban and rural areas. The fourth part is an analysis on the necessity and feasibility of constructing the retirement pension system for integration of urban and rural areas. The fifth part tells a compose about constructing the retirement pension system for integration of urban and rural areas, which clearly puts forward the resent and later targets, path choosing, matched measures of constructing the retirement pension system for integration of urban and rural areas. The sixth part makes a conclusion about the whole essay.
