Abstract


Objective: transforming growth factor (Transforming growth factor, TGF) as a multifunctional cytokine mediated through its receptor in cell proliferation, development, have an important role in the process of transformation and differentiation. Many tumors in various stages of incidence are likely to show abnormalities of transforming growth factor expression and function. Therefore, the expression of the detect cancer patient transforming growth factor and its change in clinical diagnosis, classification and staging, treatment and prognosis of the tumor has important practical significance. Radiation therapy is the preferred treatment for nasopharyngeal carcinoma, treatment failure was mainly due to local recurrence and distant metastasis. Therefore, it is necessary to look for certain predictor of adjuvant therapy, reducing recurrence or metastasis. In this study, different types of differentiation and stage of disease in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma peripheral blood content of TGF-alpha and TGF-beta1 and its before and after radiotherapy change analysis and its clinical significance. Method: take the peripheral blood of patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma, using radioimmunoassay method for the determination of a clear diagnosis of 52 cases of patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma after radiotherapy and peripheral blood of 10 healthy blood donors TGF-alpha level. Confirm the diagnosis in 52 patients before and after radiotherapy in patients using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay method as well as the peripheral blood of 10 healthy blood donors TGF-beta1 level test, and its change and assist in the diagnosis, degree of differentiation, clinical stage, the recent efficacy, age, gender were analyzed. Results: The average concentrations of radiotherapy in patients with nasopharyngeal serum TGF-alpha (16.21 6.67) and TGF-beta1 (51.11 16.16) was significantly higher than the corresponding control group (9.05 1.41; 10.91 7.74), the difference was statistically significant ( p lt; 0.05). Not / poorly differentiated squamous cell patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma serum TGF-alpha level (16.92 3.17) than medium / well-differentiated squamous cell patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma (15.77 6.32), the difference was statistically significant (p lt; 0.05). Not / poorly differentiated squamous cell patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma serum TGF-beta1 level higher than medium / well-differentiated squamous cell patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma (44.05 13.11) (44.39 13.67), the difference was statistically significant (p lt; 0.05) And clinical stage Ⅰ peripheral blood of patients with TGF-alpha level was 11.53 1.06; Phase II peripheral blood of patients with TGF-alpha level was 13.69 2.78 16.47 6.17; Phase III in peripheral blood of patients with TGF-alpha level; IV of peripheral blood of patients with TGF-alpha level of 18.29 7.66.
