Objective: To investigate the effect of simvastatin on cardiac function after myocardial infarction and infarct border angiogenesis . Methods: 1. Subjects : Chinese female white rabbits , weighing between 2.0 - 2.5kg . 2 experimental groups : divided into three groups , ( n = 7 ) . Group I sham operation group , group II , group III drugs ( simvastatin ) for experimental control group intervention group . Group I only open the pleural and pericardial not caused by myocardial infarction , II , III two groups frozen in liquid nitrogen apical established animal models of myocardial infarction . All rabbits start eating the first postoperative day , Ⅰ , Ⅱ group given a placebo , Ⅲ group were given simvastatin 5mg/kg · d . The three groups of rabbits were measured weekly weight to correct placebo or drug usage . All rabbits were sacrificed after 8 weeks . Measure : ① preoperative and eight weeks after infarction , serum lipids ; ② immunohistochemical staining Postscript infarct border zone microvessel density ; ③ after surgery , two , four , eight weeks echocardiographic determination of left ventricular diastolic end diameter ( LVDD ) , left ventricular end systolic diameter ( LVSD ) , calculated left ventricular ejection fraction ( LVEF ) . Results : group III lipid levels after eight weeks of treatment decreased significantly ( p lt ; 0.05 ) , I , group II lipid levels did not change significantly ( p gt ; 0.05 ) before and after . (2) the number of capillaries in the infarct border zone group III significantly more than group II ( 140.29 ± 5.28:41.14 ± 3.98 , p lt ; 0.001 ) . 3 . Ⅰ rabbit cardiac function throughout the experiment did not change after the first , two , four , eight weeks left
