Abstract


This paper first discusses the state-based intrusion detection technology migration model to analyze the model with other models differences, especially with the traditional signature-based intrusion detection pattern matching distinction touch with their own characteristics . On this basis , further study of the STAT technical principles , operation mechanism and implementation techniques to analyze the composition of the various parts of the system and the module dependencies. Through the basic configuration of a single detection system localization , the control section focuses on a unified control platform , which can be a unified platform for the different needs of a single detection system configurations tailored to achieve a flexible distributed detection and highly configurable runtime . In -depth study on the STAT technology , based on the contents of this paper to achieve the following : 1. WEB- based primary means of attack is analyzed , the realization of access violation , buffer overflow attacks , pattern matching, repeated failed access testing. (2) further integration platform linux kernel 2.4 and above brought firewall netfilter / iptable new features that will STAT unique flexible response mechanism with netfilter / iptable rules for highly flexible configurable combine to achieve the intrusion detection and firewall interaction mechanism .
