Abstract


Housing and employment are two core endogenous variables of urban spatial structure, which affect and depend on each other. In recent years, China’s urban housing and employment spatial pattern has undergone a profound evolution.Wuhu city is an important city along the Yangtze River in Anhui province. Its scale expands very sharply, land use become increasingly tense and unemployed persons increase gradually. However, the expansion of the city is limited to the Yangtze River,railway road and boundary line of other cities. Base on the study of the balance between housing and employment,how to grasp the impact of urban development planning and real estate ideas on employment, commuting and living of different geographical locations and community,how to achieve job-housing balanced and development,intensive use of land coordinately to realize win-win situation,which make this study have strong practical significance.The letter divides into six chapters, specific content as follows:The first chapter ,the introduction, summarizes the research achievement of civil and aboard,introduces the background, development, research content and the technical route, etc. The second chapter is about the theory of organization of urban space between housing and employment. It simply summarizes the achievements,which offers solid base for this study. The third chapter focuses on the evolution of spatial relationship between housing and employment in Wuhu city, analyzes the evolution process, characteristics and its dynamic mechanism. The fourth chapter is the key part of this article about spatial balance between housing and employment. It expounds the concept of "balance", then analyzes the spatial balance state from the macro and micro levels in Wuhu city. The fifth chapter focuses on cooperation and coordination of housing and employment spatial. It analyzes the impact of spatial relationships on urban development, then put forward some suggestions in order to promote the space cooperation and harmony. The sixth chapter, in the form of conclusion and discussion, indicates the main conclusion of this research and some works need to be completed.The conclusion is that,housing and employment spatial relationship in Wuhu city has changed from mixed to separated, then form independent comprehensive industrial and residential groups. In the macro scale, the measure calculations demonstrate that housing and employment spatial imbalance is getting more and more intense, mainly comes from the spatial mobility of job-housing population in each district. The spatial imbalance results in large proportion of commute travel, mainly happened in employment leading area by Jinghu as the core, north Jiujiang for the periphery and living leading area in the southern Yijiang for the periphery. Microscopic findings, commuting average distance is 3-7km, average time for 25 minutes, and the main commuting way is electric cars and buses, residents will inherit a certain degree of economic pressure. At present, residents of satisfaction on the spatial match between housing and employment is neutral, distance become an important factor when people choose residence and employment.
