Abstract

Based on vegetation types on of Jiangsu Dafeng elk Nature Reserve by the Investigation and Analysis of seasonal changes in vegetation biomass, the differences between the various community types of biomass, elk feeding on plant selective elk food source contribution rate and different plant species, grazing disturbance on plant species diversity of soil properties. Analysis of different plant nutrients, elk population dynamics and carrying capacity study. Revealed elk grazing disturbance on the role elk habitat vegetation explore the elk habitat in the case of increasing population density, the mechanism of plant community structure changes, habitat revegetation and protected areas, ecosystem management theory basis. Major findings include: 1, changes in different seasons biomass larger, smaller biomass in May, July and September, relatively high biomass. Significant differences between the various plant biomass, Pennisetum biomass highest proportion of 61.15% of the total plant biomass in May, accounting for 85.57 percent in July, accounting for 81.02 percent in September. Elk selective feeding on different plants. The study shows that elk selectively feeding on plants, affecting the contribution rate of a variety of plants for elk food source. 2 elk interference caused by the change of eating and edible plant species and biomass, the greatest impact Dominant Plant Pennisetum palatability with the seasons of its elk from eating becomes not eat, resulting in elk like to eat and edible plant biomass decreased significantly from May to September. Plant community types elk interference caused by changes in the composition, species diversity decreases, landscape heterogeneity reduced. Habitat of different plant species and seasonal nutritional analysis, comparative analysis of protected areas Poaceae and Asteraceae two main plants, the results show that the higher the protein content of the Compositae, Gramineae lower protein content, and Gramineae protein content decreased significantly from May to September, the relatively short time for feeding requirements, too much Gramineae adverse food source for elk habitat. 4, elk semi-wild captive habitat soil, mainly due to the elk selective differences on plant community types, the plant communities interference preferences frequently, resulting in soil bulk density increased and water content decreased. The elk interference caused part of the plant communities of soil organic matter content decreases. 5, the elk population growth exponentially with the logistic model simulation and analysis of the ecological carrying capacity of the protected areas and other types of capacity, guiding significance for the reasonable regulation of the elk population size.
