Abstract


Reading comprehension in English and other foreign language learning and teaching has always been highly valued. For reading comprehension understanding of the theory is also rising. Summed up the majority of teachers also studied many valuable specific teaching methods. However, in the teaching of reading we often find that some of the teachers will teach reading lessons students can not understand the language very well be attributed to the main article limited knowledge of their language . Thus, in the classroom, these teachers put a lot of time and energy to teach vocabulary and grammar knowledge , the result is not satisfactory. In fact , reading comprehension is the interaction between the reader with articles for meaning in the process . In order to achieve an understanding of the article , the reader should undergo a series of psychological processes . In this process , the reader is not reading the article -by- word , but the use of prior knowledge and reading strategies for integrated information processing of the article . Task-based teaching can overcome the traditional teaching model defects . It not only emphasizes language learning , and emphasized the learning process ; learners themselves experiencing growth on classroom learning play an important role ; it on classroom language learning outside the classroom with the utilization of language combine language learning is multi-faceted , the non-linear process. Therefore, the task-based approach allows teachers to more fully understand the mental processes of reading comprehension and student prior knowledge in reading comprehension role , and thus achieve the purpose of improving reading ability .
