Abstract


As the tree storage structure and supporting deep nested expression of XML technology, XML can describe the structure of the commonly used more complicated and more close to reality of data, comparing to the relational data. So XML is very suitable for marine meteorology survey data.Firstly, this paper gives the marine meteorological observation content and items, then introduces the XML technology, and compares the XML DTD and the XML Schema. By using the software tool of Altova XML Spy 2006, Marine meteorological data of XML content models are defined, and this paper also adopts hierarchical structure, defines the unified standarded XML format of meteorology survey data, and formulated meteorology survey major marker dictionary of for meteorology survey data based on XML, which supports the standardization research basis of meteorology survey data exchange.
