Abstract

In this paper, Spider silk and poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) was used as raw materials, spidroin / PLLA composite nano-fibers were obtained by electrospinning. with the addition of spider silk protein, the diameter of the spidroin / PLLA composite fibers decreased significantly and the mechanical property of the electrospun PLLA fiber mat was improved. The biodegadability and biocompatibility of the composite nano-fibers were researched after analyzing the electrospinning technology, structure and properties of the composite nanofibers. The effect of electrospinning technology and the spidroin content impact on structure and properties of composite nanofibers: The effects of electrospinning voltage and distance on the shape and mechanical properties of spidroin/PLLA composite fibers were discussed. The morphology, molecular conformations, crystallinity degree and mechanical property of the electrospun fibers were investigated. The results indicated that spider silk protein attenuated the fiber diameter and enhanced the mechanical property of the electrospun PLLA fibers.Biodegadability and biocompatibility: The spidroin / PLLA composite fiber mat was immersed in phosphate buffer solution and actinomyces enzyme biodegradable fluid respectively, through the test of loss ratio, morphology, crystallinity degree and mechanical property, found that fiber mat in phosphate buffer solution degraded slowly, while degraded quickly in actinomyces enzyme biodegradable fluid, and after 7 days , the mechanical property of the material all losed. The attachment, spreading, proliferation and morphology of L929 cell on the spidroin / PLLA composite fiber mat were observed. The results showed that the proliferation and morphology of cells on the fiber mat was very well, also, the addition of spider protein enhanced the compatibility between cell and matrix material.
