Abstract

In view of the close relationship of the dust storms on the threat posed by the production life of the Beijing-Tianjin region and sandstorms and dust source areas of land desertification , the State of Beijing and Tianjin sandstorm source control project started in March 2000 , aimed at improving the ecological environment of Beijing and Tianjin and surrounding areas to curb sandstorms. After more than five years of governance , achieved remarkable results , and general improvement of the ecological environment of the governance area , significantly reduce the hazards of sandstorm in Beijing area , the apparent improvement in air quality . The two-stage dichotomous virtual market evaluation method used in this study , the willingness to pay of Beijing residents of Beijing and Tianjin sandstorm source control project to assess the environmental values ??of the air quality improvement in Beijing Beijing and Tianjin sandstorm source control project brought explore Beijing Tianjin sandstorm source control benefit downwind the area upwind governance ecological compensation possibilities.
