Abstract


The College Research Management Information System is a comprehensive platform for effective management of basic research information including scientific research project, research fund and the research achievements. It is an important channel to improve the college scientific research management. The traditional scientific research management is a non system (or semi-system) mode, which was complained for its low efficiency, absence of conjunctive utilization and statistical analysis of research data, and its lag of scientific research information. These problems caused severe restriction to the development of college research management.Giving concerns to the strategic development of the information management system, this article designed a brand new mode of college scientific research management information system in order to improve the efficiency and quality of scientific research management, which could better cater the needs of college and researchers. Based on the additional information of researchers and research institute, this new system integrated the information such as projects, research fund and productions. It realized the statistical function to inquire the research information, and was enabled to produce intelligent report and to import and export massive data, which would be greatly helpful for the college research management. To fully support the college scientific research, not only the college scientific research department, the entire college and the professors could have access to the system.The system adopted the B/S strategic and the three-tier-pattern which consists of presentation tier, business tier and data tier. The business pattern was improved according to the current background of college research management. Based on the J2EE platform, the system was designed with the key technology of Hibernate and Struts, and is stable, extensible and maintainable.
