Abstract


The settlement is the epitome of traditional society , the Village residents icon of human relations , a whole dispersion coexist space areas of a material and a spiritual home . It contains many connotations , a continuation of the history , cultural heritage and civilization of the changes , as well as value orientation . In the west of Hubei Province , the traditional cultural symbols and symbolic significance \China is entering a new era of comprehensive urban construction and urban and rural development . Comprehensively building a well-off society , to establish cultural villages, eco - villages , will be the inevitable choice of the development of traditional settlement patterns of today's era of western Hubei Village . This paper is divided into three parts . First, the introduction of the most interesting words to explain the background and significance of the study of traditional settlement development . The first section describes the the western Hubei Village of the status quo , and to show the diversity of the Village residents living Pengjia settlements in western Hubei traditional mountain village living unit . Such as the traditional and the modern , material and cultural . Part II: Pengjia traditional settlement of western Hubei Village , reveals the local geographical and cultural heritage and development of the relationship between traditional settlement rich connotation , it is not only an inhabited space , or a way of life . Pointed out that the mindset of traditional settlements , settlement concept , aesthetic concepts , building layout, structure and environmental atmosphere and so on . Analysis of the characteristics of the traditional settlements and the environment in western Hubei specified in Part III of problems faced reveals the traditional settlement rational , practical and natural coordination , as well as green residential , green neighborhoods , intergenerational programs and other development mode . Put forward the idea of the traditional settlement and cultural development of the 21st century , and and that settlements development not only adapt to the local culture, should transcend geographic integration into the world and into the future . The 21st century is the century of urban development , is a comprehensive well-off era , concerned about the history and status quo of the remote areas , is concerned about our future , from a focus on traditional settlement beautiful living environment , advanced culture to lead the new Village life is not only government the responsibility , but also contemporary bounden duty .
