Abstract

Based on above the substrate coating a layer of metal salts as catalyst precursor solution, in the carbon - hydrogen flame multi-walled carbon nanotubes. Chosen as the catalyst precursor metal salts can be: nickel nitrate, nickel sulphate, nickel chloride. Substrate material can be iron, nickel, copper, aluminum, or their alloy, also can choose nonmetal materials such as glass, ceramics. Through observation of scanning electron microscope (sem), transmission electron microscopy, and Raman spectroscopy analysis of the product, found that use this method to get shape of carbon nanotubes is good, high degree of graphitization. This method is the most important catalyst preparation method is simple, and carbon nanotube growth time is short, high efficiency, therefore can meet the requirements of mass production.
