Abstract


In ancient society , bamboo is housing construction , water conservancy, transportation and furniture manufacturers produce the most basic materials, and thus become a traditional commodity economy, an important commodity . With the growing prosperity of trade bamboo , bamboo at all levels of the market has gradually established and developed . Markets around the center bamboo , bamboo merchants ( business group ) , porters , three government departments launched their activities , and in the interests of each other to achieve a state of equilibrium . This paper from the perspective of modernization market in Wuhan bamboo case study by examining the evolution of the market of Wuhan Modern bamboo , to explore Chinese traditions to the modern commodity economy transition trajectory. Mid-nineteenth century , Wuhan has become the central region and the country's largest distribution center for bamboo , Qing Dynasty period is to reach its peak . Especially Hanyang Parrot Island bamboo market , called the country's largest trading center bamboo , bamboo product distribution volume of its premier . Its development for the Yangtze River valley and in many parts of the country at that time , it has a pivotal position. In modern times, active in the wood market traders many gangs everywhere , especially in Hunan to help the most powerful . The bamboo have built their own business to help the hall , clubs and other commercial organizations to coordinate and develop the interests of the industry . In addition, during this period , bamboo commodities trading although there have been some of the characteristics of modernization , still mainly traditional transactions . Bamboo commercial development, market expansion , increased demand for wood stevedore . Bamboo also has a gang characteristic urban labor market porter is a major component , showing the process of modernization of the city difficult to get rid of the old system colors.
