Abstract


In western countries, Literary Agency System has developed to a very high level, but in china , Literary Agents only has been started growing since the end of 1980’s, after the morethan20years’development, the system is still on the way, it is still young and subjected to further improvement. With the speeding development of our national publishing industry and book market in recent years ,our Literary Agents’ development no longer fits the requirement of such an increasing market, which makes it necessary and important for researches in how to perfect our current literary agents’ development.This thesis will discuss the problems and opportunities existing in our current Literary Agents’ development, and divided into four parts.Part one will cover the connotation, term of literary agents’ development, and also its significance.Part two will introduce the global status of current literary agents’ development.Part three will state the problems existing in our literary agents’ development ,and analyze in details the obstacles of preventing it from fast development.Part four will propose constructive suggestions on how to perfect our literary agents’ development by considering both practical situation in China and advanced experience in some other countries .
