Abstract


Teachers’ pressure and tiredness from work are always one of the core contents of the study on teachers and pressure source, Studies in and abroad indicates that teaching occupation is one with high pressure and many pressure sources. Teachers should not only bear the same pressure as other occupations, such as high working pressure, but also the pressure from the specialty of teaching occupation, e.g role uncertainty, pressure from high social expectation and so on, And especially nowadays our educational system is facing a series of reformations: the turning from exam-orientated education to quality-orientated education, the reforms in middle and primary schools’ curriculums, the higher requirement of teachers’ knowledge structure, working ability and psychological development level, all of which form a new pressure source of teaching occupation. Moreover, the pressure factors and degree that teachers are facing will take on new changes with the reformations going deeper and deeper, while the passive effect on teachers’ physical and mental health, teaching quality and students’ healthy growth caused by teachers’ occupation pressure is receiving more and more attention, Many scholars are setting off to discuss the source of teachers’ pressure in order to propose a more pointedly policy that can relieve the pressure, to promote teachers’ physical and mental health, to advance the development of teaching cause, which is also the aim and purpose of this study.This research took the method of theory analysis and the open-questionnaire surveys to explore the source of high school teachers’ occupation pressure. Using relational study fruits and expert’s opinion for reference, we constructed the high school teachers’ occupation pressure questionnaire. This questionnaire was handed out to investigate 677 teachers of 5 high schools in the city of LU Zhou.The results of the study show that: (1) The high school teachers’ occupation pressure questionnaire is of high
