Abstract

In poverty alleviation, especially tourism in poverty alleviation process, how to ensure that the interests of the residents of the community, the community residents to really participate in the development of tourism in poverty-stricken areas, and to share the many benefits of tourism development while avoiding the risk of Poverty Alleviation Through Tourism, efforts to solve this problems. Therefore, in combing the basis of the theory of domestic and international poverty alleviation and tourism poverty alleviation, while summing up of China since the beginning of the 1980s by the brilliant achievements in poverty alleviation, but also pointed out the problems which exist, especially as poverty alleviation community residents, community participation in poverty alleviation, there is a larger problem. This paper introduces scholars discourse on community participation in tourism helping the poor, such as Murphy's Community Tourism Strategy Mode, and combined with the conceptual framework of participatory poverty alleviation in China as well as community participation in tourism to help the poor empirical case, as behind the author community involved in the theoretical and practical basis for travel Poverty Alleviation Model Framework and its specific operational procedures. This article is divided into a total of four chapters, the first chapter is theoretical research overview. This chapter first made in respect of the relevant concepts defined and explained, discussed the meaning of poverty and the type cited the classic definition of poverty, based on classification, poverty, especially absolute poverty and relative poverty meaning distinction to explain. In community-related concepts to explain the definition of the community, from three different angles of sociology, economics, Tourism elaborated the concept of community participation. The second part of this chapter summarizes the related theory of poverty alleviation, especially foreign scholars discourse on poverty alleviation resource allocation, and that the essence of poverty is the lack of development, poverty alleviation is the transfer and allocation of resources through poverty, through a comprehensive strategy and policy, construction self-development ability of the poor, and eventually eliminate poverty.
