Abstract

Layered composite laminates is the main failure modes , and delamination occurs mainly in the interface layer laminate , so it is necessary to composite mechanical properties of the interface layer analysis , to grasp its failure law . In this paper, based on cohesive interface element model of composite delamination was simulated , mainly for the following aspects : 1. Based on the principle of virtual work to derive the discrete model of the interface element governing equations , hierarchical principle of the interface elements are described . 2 , respectively, on the test type Ⅰ fracture toughness of composite double cantilever bending test DCB and test Ⅱ fracture toughness ENF end edge notch test and test composite materials mixed fracture toughness MMB test was simulated , and the simulation results were compared with experimental results verify the use of the interface element method to simulate the feasibility of composite delamination . 3 using test Ⅰ, Ⅱ mixed interlaminar fracture toughness mixed mode bending test was simulated mixing ratio of 50% for mixed bending test simulation, mixed failure criterion BK standards, guidelines and parameters for BK η discussed , the results show that , η selection accuracy of the simulation results have a certain impact . In 80% of the mixed hybrid bending test simulations were used BK standards and guidelines as an interface element exponential failure criteria , and the results were compared with the guidelines as a failure criterion BK simulation results than with the power index as a failure criterion of simulation results and experimental results closer . 4 In the above analysis based on the results of the composite single lap problems were analyzed . Discussed the lap length , lap thickness on the strength of the interface layer . And single- layer thickness of lap joints are glued in the interfacial layer and surface stress distribution were analyzed.
