Abstract


The main point of this article is to elaborate traditional investment evaluation method , the major defects of the net present value method , real options method . Real options method detailed in the project investment and strategic investment . An option is the right to a certain period in the future to take a course of action , rather than an obligation . Options owners can decide whether or not to exercise the option in accordance with the actual situation . The real options theory of financial option theory in the analysis of investment decisions , today 's investment decision-making of the most cutting - edge research . The physical investment process will produce a continuous range of opportunities , such as the expansion and contraction or termination of investment managers flexibility in these situations when discretion is necessary to use real options theory . In the first chapter , the author introduces the basic concepts and methods of real options , and the research and development of real options theory . In the second chapter , the author describes the theory of real options in project investment . In the third chapter , the author describes the application of real options theory in strategic investment . This article from theory to application , from the project to the strategy , with a clear hierarchy .
