Abstract


In recent years, along with the improvement of people’s living standard, the tourism activity becomes more and more prevalent among people, so tourism industry has also made rapid progress.The progress of modern science and technology transfer the concept of tourism, as well as the tourism manner, which sets a higher request to the tourism service quality and management level. So while carrying on the tourism resources information system design, we must make it conform to tourists’actual demand to the best of our abilities. Especially in the functional of information acquisition design, we must meet the popular need by the image, the vivid expression means. But the existing situation can not adapt the demands of traveling industry’s development. As the popularization and application of multimedia technique and GIS, it provides a good tool to empolder the Tour Information System.The tourism resources with the geographical spatial position have close relationship. Therefore, the scenery, the distribution of service facilities and road information all base on the geographic coordinates. Geographical Information System(GIS) is a new direction of computer application and research, which is an integration of computer graphics, digital image processing and database management system, etc, so it has the ability to deal with special spatial data query analysis . Components Geography Information System(ComGIS) is the latest tendency of GIS technology. If the component GIS and multimedia technology are applied in the tourism industry,they will provide us a kind of visible query method,and make the users and the computers have the dialogue penetrately,and obtain the needed information conveniently. Thus, it will certainly enhance the practicality of the system. Yanchi is one of the most important tourist cities in the western China, and it is rich in tourism resources. If we apply these two techniques to the local tourism industry, we will deepen the process of the informationization of tourism industry and then promote the sustainable development of the tourism industry.Firstly, the thesis introduce the present research situations on tourism navigation system at home and abroad, elaborating the background and the significance of the system based on the research in Yanchi county. Then, it analyses the advantages of applying the component GIS and Multimedia technology to the tourism navigation system. Basic theory and relevant technology related to system development are introduced afterwards. The system development target has been preliminarily established. Analyzing the consumer need, feasibility, data source, it proposes the scheme. It also realizes the system takes Visual Basic 6.0、MapObjectst 2.4 and GeoLOD 4.0 as the development platform, and uses Access 2003 to manage non-spatial data. Basically, it can meet the needs of users on the two techniques. Hope to take this to the Yanchi County tourism promotion of information technology play a role.
