Abstract


British universities have long formed on the internal system to protect its reputation , but the higher education quality assurance system was built in the 1960s and 1964, the state has authorized the establishment of the Commission marks the UK higher education quality assurance system established . UK higher education quality assurance system evolved from individual teachers to university , from universities to the country , from the state back to the University of Evolution . UK higher education quality assurance system includes two parts, the universities internal and external . Institutions of higher learning internal quality assurance model includes four traditional system : School System , mentoring , honorary degree system and outside examiner system . External system and now experienced a total of four stages : first national degree-granting academic control department of the Commission, the transition period , the coexistence of the Higher Education Quality Assurance Committee and the Higher Education Funding Committee stage , and running Higher Education Quality Assurance Department . Paper they produce and development background , organizational structure , operation method and its lessons were discussed , analyzed and summarized the law of development of the UK higher education quality assurance system . Their experience and lessons learned from the Higher Education Quality Assurance activities carried out must respect the basic law of the development of higher education , with their long-established cultural traditions , and the current political and economic situation .
