Abstract


On the basis of previous studies investigated Chonghou external representations of ideas and practice discussed Chonghou reasons for the success or failure of diplomacy in order to investigate the evolution of the Chinese Foreign Modernization process from the perspective of a diplomat . This paper is divided into six parts : the first part : the introductory section outlining the topics based on research dynamic , and the main innovation . Part II: elaborated Chonghou Diplomatic Thoughts , described in three main areas . First abide by the treaty ; safeguard the rights and interests of advocates ; three representations Road . Part III : To investigate the the Missionary representations Chonghou . Through the analysis of the causes of lesson plans , discusses Chonghou handle lesson plans guidelines and measures ; through comparison with Zeng Guofan Chonghou ideas and initiatives to deal with the Tianjin lesson plans . Part IV: examines the of contracted and settlement Ili Chonghou negotiations . Specifically from the following two aspects : One discusses Chonghou , diplomatic negotiations in the small country contracting strategy and its impact ; analysis of the reasons for the failure of the Chonghou Ili negotiation settlement in Russia and Tseng Chi-tse negotiations the comparison , where the plight of the modern Chinese diplomacy . Part V : investigated Chonghou negotiations on customs and foreign trade and economic issues . Mainly be discussed in three parts , First Chonghou the Beiyang three Customs Chong thick of Beiyang three Customs reform measures , the main analysis ; Hou and foreign trade , tariff , tax , tax problems analyzed Chonghou the pros and cons of dealing with foreign trade issues ; handling of foreign and foreign economic disputes , ship collision problem . Part VI : Conclusion part . Evaluation of the same light period the Chonghou diplomatic progress and limitations of the ideas and activities , and his reasons for the success or failure of some of their own views .
