Abstract


Urbanization is the dominant land use process, so the process of urban expansion has been the focus of research geography , urban expansion process makes urban spatial morphology have been many problems ( such as \expansion ) . Currently eastern coastal urban spatial morphology have been numerous case studies , and west areas of the city but also the relative lack of spatial form . This paper uses than traditional urban morphology measurement method is more suitable for measuring urban irregular shape of fractal dimension measurement method, Wuwei urban spatial form dimensions were quantitatively determined in the calculation results based on the fractal dimension using fractal theory and allometric theory explain. Wuwei City Urban Morphology main conclusions are as follows: First, the spatial form of Wuwei city built-up area in three different times ( 1967 , 1988 , 2004 ) of urban form dimensional numerical ( 1.5397,1.7086,1.7717 ) were less than 2 , Therefore, we believe that the density of urban land use in Wuwei city center pedestrianized street from the surrounding decay trend is growing. Secondly, from the built-up area of Wuwei City fractal dimension of the overall spatial form numerical point of view, urban morphology dimension has been in the process of increasing the current value of the fractal dimension is greater than the average urban fractal dimension of experience , Wuwei City, the overall shape dimension in a compact state. Again, Wuwei urban morphology change dimension into two distinct , early changes in Wuwei City urban spatial form larger and less focus on urban construction planning , which must attack style construction are inseparable, and the recent growth of urban form dimensions Although slower , but still larger than the average fractal dimension of urban form , cause such a change and transformation of the inner city is filled not unrelated. Finally, Allometric theoretical paper analyzes the spatial form of Wuwei City , obtained demographic dimension greater than the dimension of urban land , and suggested that in order to reverse this morbid urban form, should change the distribution of urban population too Wuwei centralized status quo , so that the dimension of urban form returned is less than or equal to the dimension of the urban population distribution reasonable track.
