Abstract


Chronic alcoholic myopathy(CAM) is one of the most frequent causes of acquired skeletal myopathy in developed countries, which affects up 30%～60% of all alcohol misusers. With the increasing of the living standard in our country, which leads to alcoholic poisoning patients more and more. However, there is merely a few clinical reports about CAM in our coutry, and with respect to the research of the CAM pathogenesis, it’s still vacant essentially. Comparing with the genetic myopathy, alcoholic myopathy is the only treatable muscle disease, and it has the certain reference value to research the other metabolic myopathy by the studying of the cytes and molecular level of CAM. In the research of muscular dystrophies and inclusion-body myopathies, several overseas authors have found that nitricoxide synthase(NOS) and oxidative stress can induce skeletal muscle atrophy, and there is the correlation between them. In our experiment, we select the spectrophotometer and the immunohistochemistry staining method to compare the change of each antioxidant index and the express of iNOS and nNOS in CAM, for investigating the possible effect of them in the pathogenesy of CAM. If the NOS activity is changed in CAM; if it has the relation with CAM amyotrophy; If it is the important component element of the CAM pathogenesis that NOS induces the oxidatant-antioxidant status imbalance in the skeletal muscle, which all hasn’t been reported domestically and abroad.
