Abstract


Objective: 1.To profile the changes in osteopontin and matrix metalloproteinase-9 expression in cycling endometrium and their relationship with implantation of blastocyst. 2. To profile the changes in osteopontin and matrix metalloproteinase-9 expression in early pregnant deciduas and chorion and their relationship with maintenance of pregnancy.3. To profile the changes in osteopontin and matrix metalloproteinase-9 expression in unexplained infertility endometrium and their relationship with unexplained infertility. 4. To profile the correlation between osteopontin and matrix metalloproteinase-9 expression in cycling endometrium , early pregnant deciduas and chorion.Method: Expression of osteopontin and matrix metalloproteinase-9 on endometrium were detected in 25 normal cycling women during different menstrual ,15 cases with early pregnant women, and 15 cases with unexplained infertility phase by immunohistochemistry technique.Results: The expression of Osteopontin and matrix metalloproteinase- 9 in endometrium was observed in the cytolymph of luminal ,glandular epithelium , trophoblasts cells and deciduas cells in different phases. Osteopontin and matrix metalloproteinase-9 was expressed highly in the secretory or early pregnant endometrium (after cycle day 19), expecialy in early pregnant chorion .Compared with normal women,osteopontin and matrix metalloproteinase-9 failed to express in the midluteal endometrium from women with unexplained infertility. There were significantly positive correlations between osteopontin and matrix metalloproteinase-9 in human
