Abstract


Recent decades, translation studies gradually turned intercultural comparison . Generally, translation and cultural transformation , there are two basic strategies : the purpose of the language as belonging to naturalization and alienation of the source text into a destination . Naturalization is the culture of the target language as much as possible into the reader 's knowledge of the scope , the author leads the reader ; alienation refers to the translation retain the original language and culture specific place , readers will lead author. Since the source language and the target language culture huge cultural differences , the translator will inevitably face a dilemma , which is also bound to be translated as a naturalization or alienation tendencies. It can be said , naturalization and alienation is the subject of one of the core issues of translation studies . In order to better solve this problem , countries linguists , translators, translation methods proposed various means of naturalization and alienation is one of the most representative pair. This paper focuses on cross- cultural translation among both translation strategies , and to clarify the relationship between them as well as the application of the translation work . The first part focuses on language , translation and cultural relations. In the second part , the author briefly describes two advocates of translation strategies , the theoretical basis as well as Chinese and foreign history about how to use these two translation strategies such controversy . The third part analyzes the constraints of these two factors translation strategies , such as the purpose of translation , text type, the author's intention and ability to accept other readers . The fourth part focuses on the domestication and alienation between the two translation strategies dialectical relationship . Indicate when the strategy should be adopted naturalization , when it should be used and when alienation strategies and use these two strategies , so that complement each other. Through the above analysis, the authors concluded that these two translation strategies , has its own characteristics and practical value, too much emphasis on one of them are one-sided and unscientific . We should not only study the characteristics of these two strategies , but also analyze them in what circumstances and for what purpose , for what kind of text types. We can not translate strategy as being absolute , dialectically examine both translation strategies can help translate research prosperity.
