Biomass is the only renewable energy sources can be turned into liquid fuels. Ligneous biomass don’t consume food supplies and don’ engross infield, which is different of foodstuff. from the perspective of sustainable development, the technology of biomass liquefaction for bio-oil has a good prospect. This study focused on analysis of biomass liquefied products. The main component of biomass is cellulose, lignin and hemicellulose, these components is the material basis for liquid fuel, the research work must understand the chemical composition of biomass. Chemical analysis of the major components and structural analysis of different biomass materials were carried out. The study found that the infrared spectra of biomass is very similar. The bio-oil from different temperature was analysised with infrared spectral, According to changes of functional group in bio-oil. The degree of liquefaction reaction was reviewed in detail, found that liquefaction temperature was the important effect factor, and cellulose was liquefacted easied than lignin. Element analysis found that oxygen content in bio-oil was reducing with the rising temperature, but the carbon content in bio-oil was increasing with the rising temperature.Gas products at varieties working conditions was analysised with gas chromatography.Gas products are mainly composed of carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and methane. In addition, the affection from temperature, residence time, the amount of catalyst, the amount of raw materials on the composition of the gas and deoxidation rate of raw materials was studied. The experimental results showed that at the conditions of reaction temperature of 300℃, residence time of 10 min, the amount of raw materials of 60 g (use distilled water for 480 ml), the quality of catalysts to raw materials of 5 percent, the deoxidation rate of raw materials is good.In short, these basis studies provide first-hand data on direct liquefaction test of biomass, which has a significant on parameters optimized, the study of liquefactionmechanism, industrialization progress and prediction of liquefaction products.
