Abstract


Project planning is a basis and a prerequisite for project management. It is a necessity for achieving project objectives. The project plan decides how to allocate and arrange the resources, elements and activities relevant to the project. It involves such tasks as work analysis, work description, project responsibility allocation, resources allocation, duration assessment, work sorting, formulating plans, etc. Duration optimization is to get the optimal project plan by optimizing the preliminary plan according to the duration need itself and coordinating the relationship among duration, resources, and cost.Based on the literature review of related theories of project planning and duration optimization and taking the project of HR Eco-breeding Demonstration Base as the object for analysis, this thesis conducts a thorough study on the designing, progress control and optimization of a project plan. In so doing, it explores the process of the making and optimization of the project plan.In the process of writing this thesis, the author has conducted considerable field study and has collected a large amount of authentic data from the field. These data have been useful for the operation of this project. It is worth mentioning that this thesis has viewed the project of the Eco-breeding Demonstration Base as a system, and thus has conducted a systematic study on the project by combing together such aspects as progression plan, process control, and coordination. This thesis has also applied the network planning approach to the Eco-breeding Demonstration Base and has drawn a double-code time-scaled network diagram for the process arrangement of the Eco-breeding Demonstration Base. This diagram has helped the project to be finished in time. This thesis has applied the vanguard line comparison in the dynamic process control of the project. This is the first time for this method to be used in eco-breeding base projects. The thesis has also generalized effective strategies for the coordination in the process control, which can be used in project management of all types.
