Abstract


Role and their relationship, in the purpose of this study tumor suppressor gene protein Runx3 and p21 protein in gastric cancer tissues, the expression in the adjacent the dysplasia tissue and normal gastric mucosa, explore their gastric cancer development, invasion and metastasis of gastric cancer clinicopathological diagnosis, treatment and prognosis auxiliary indicators. Methods routine HE staining and immunohistochemistry SABC method detected 50 cases of gastric carcinoma, Runx3 and p21 protein expression in atypia hyperplasia tissue next to the 22 cases of cancer and 20 normal gastric mucosa. Results Runx3 and positive expression of p21 in normal gastric mucosa, the atypia hyperplasia tissue next to the cancer, and gastric cancer were 95% (19/20), 59.1% (13/22), 34% (17/50) and 85 % (17/20), 54.5% (12/22), 42% (21/50). Of Runx3, p21 expression rate in normal gastric mucosa with atypia hyperplastic tissue, gastric tissue expression rate difference was statistically significant (P <0.05); atypia hyperplasia and gastric carcinoma expression rate of Runx3 significant difference ( P <0.05); atypia hyperplasia and gastric tissue expression of p21 in no significant difference (P> 0.05). The Runx3 the expression level and the degree of tumor differentiation, lymph node metastasis, distant metastasis and without lymph node metastasis, and distant metastasis group was significantly higher than the poorly differentiated group of Runx3 expression levels in gastric well differentiated group, lymph node metastasis and distant metastasis group (P <0.05). p21 expression levels with tumor differentiation, lymph node metastasis, depth of invasion and distant metastasis of p21 expression levels in gastric well differentiated groups, depth of invasion (T1 T2) was significantly higher than that without lymph node metastasis and distant metastasis group poorly differentiated group, depth of invasion (T3 T4), lymph node metastasis, and distant metastasis group (P <0.05). Runx3 and p21 expression in normal gastric mucosa, atypia hyperplasia and gastric carcinoma the rate positive correlation, the correlation coefficient r = 0.998, P <0.05. Conclusion 1 of Runx3 protein expression in normal gastric mucosa, atypia hyperplasia and gastric carcinoma significant difference (P <0.05); of Runx3 expression levels with the degree of tumor differentiation, lymph node metastasis, distant metastasis (P <0.05 ); prompt Runx3 protein in the incidence of gastric cancer development process may play an important role. P21 protein in gastric cancer and hyperplasia atypia was significantly lower than in normal gastric mucosa (P <0.05); p21 protein expression levels and the degree of tumor differentiation, lymph node metastasis, depth of invasion and distant metastasis (P <0.05 ); prompt p21 protein may be the event of early gastric cancer. 3 Runx3 and p21 protein expression in gastric carcinoma were positively related prompts, Runx3, p21 reduced expression may be one of the important reasons for gastric cancer development; Both may play a synergistic role in the occurrence and development of gastric cancer; Runx3, P21 can As indicators to determine the biological behavior of gastric cancer.
