Abstract


Objective To investigate the expression and significance of extracellular matrix metalloproteinase inducer (EMMPRIN) and matrix metalloproteinase -7 (MMP-7) in bladder transitional cell carcinoma . Application of immunohistochemical techniques to detect 60 cases of bladder transitional cell carcinoma [ Ⅰ 25 cases , Ⅱ grade 15 cases , 20 cases of grade III ; superficial bladder cancer ( is T ) 29 cases of infiltrating T 4 ( T 2 < / sub >) 31 cases] and 8 cases of normal bladder tissue EMMPRIN and MMP - 7 expression χ 2 examination and analysis of the relationship between the expression of grading and staging of bladder cancer . Results EMMPRIN and MMP - 7 in normal bladder tissue did not express strong expression in bladder transitional cell carcinoma . EMMPRIN -positive expression in 60 cases of bladder transitional cell carcinoma in 42 cases . Pathological grade Ⅰ positive expression in 14 cases , 9 cases of grade Ⅱ , Ⅲ grade 19 cases . Positive expression in 19 cases of superficial cancer , 23 cases of invasive cancer positive . EMMPRIN positive expression rate of tumor grading significantly related , and no correlation with the clinical stage . MMP-7 positive expression of the 40 cases of 60 cases of bladder transitional cell carcinoma . Pathological grade Ⅰ positive expression of the 13 cases , 10 cases of grade Ⅱ , Ⅲ grade 17 . Positive expression in 18 cases of superficial cancer , 22 cases of invasive cancer positive . Positive expression of MMP-7 and tumor grading significantly correlated , no correlation with the clinical stage . EMMPRIN expression and MMP-7 expression was positively correlated (r s = 0.617, P <0.001). Conclusion EMMPIN and of MMP-7 expression was correlated with the degree of malignancy of the bladder transitional cell carcinoma , can be used as a useful indicator to determine the prognosis of transitional cell carcinoma of the bladder ; of EMMPRIN and MMP-7 positive correlation .
