Abstract

Objective To evaluate acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction with domestic rapamycin drug -eluting stent (Firebird) and bare-metal stents (BMS) safety and effectiveness . Materials and methods consecutive years of acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction the random placement the Firebird stent or bare metal stents ( BMS ) , and clinical and angiographic follow-up study . The primary endpoint of this study is a follow-up to the six - month target lesion late lumen loss (LLL), and secondary endpoints included follow-up of the six -month period of stent thrombosis and major adverse cardiac events ( MACE ) . Years were enrolled 111 patients , the the Firebird group of 56 patients (mean age 57.78 years old ) , the BMS group, 55 patients (mean age, 59.69 years) . Firebird group and BMS group , 6-month angiographic follow-up rate of 64.3% and 63.7% , respectively . The follow-up period of 6 months , Firebird , and the death of the BMS group , target vessel revascularization rate (TVR ) and MACE was 3.6% : 3.6% , 10.7% : 30.9% , 16.1% : 32.7% . In each group of patients with subacute thrombosis . An average LLL the Firebird group and the BMS group was 0.18mm: 0.72mm. Conclusion Acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction with domestic rapamycin -eluting stent (Firebird ) compared to bare metal stents (BMS) can greatly reduce the six - month MACE rate reduction of clinical events due TVR due to reduced domestic rapamycin -eluting stent (Firebird) acute / subacute stent thrombosis rate with roughly the same (1.8% : 1.8%) compared to bare metal stents used in patients with STEMI is safe and effective .
