Abstract

Domestic violence crime is a global phenomenon, whether in developed or developing countries. Such phenomena exist in different degrees. Women and children are the main victims because of their disadvantaged groups status in the family. It is now widely recognized that the current domestic violence crime has become a hot focus and difficult problem, its serious social harm has reached an unprecedented level. Studying and exploring domestic violence crime, curbing domestic violence crime, so that further safeguard the personal rights of women and children, which has attracted the attention of the international community and national governments. Only thoroughly understand the concept of domestic violence crime, the characteristics of the status quo, and the causes of the threat to marriage can we put forward effective measures to eliminate domestic violence crime and to achieve remarkable results. Therefore, this paper is to protect the legitimate rights and interests of the family group .On the basis of comparing Chinese and Western countries’ theories of domestic violence crime, expounding thoroughly concept of domestic violence crime characteristics causes harm prevention and other issues.This paper consists of introduction, body and conclusion in three parts. The introduction briefly discusses the reasons I wrote the paper, the significance of the research and the research method I used. Text is composed of 4 chapters.Chapter 1 discusses the concept and the characteristics of domestic violence crime. Analyzing Chinese and foreign concept of domestic violence. Putting forward a concept of domestic violence crime and exploring the characteristics of domestic violence crime.Chapter 2 discusses the situation and the causes of domestic violence crime. Discussing the situation of domestic violence crime in our country and in other countries and the world’s efforts to eliminate the crime of domestic violence by giving examples. Moreover, the incidence of domestic violence crime has complicated historical and cultural roots, social causes, legal sources and psychological roots.Chapter 3 discusses the harm of domestic violence crime. Based on the value system of marriage and family, expounding the harm of domestic violence crime to the family and society.Chapter 4 discusses a system of prevention and treatment of domestic violence crime. Putting forward social policies to prevent domestic violence crime that base on the social causes and conditions of controlling and adjusting domestic violence crime. Through anti-crime laws in our country, putting forward legal advice which prevents and suppress domestic violence crime.Conclusion highlights domestic violence crime has become an international menace, which is incompatible with the current building of harmonious society. We should take the approaches of judicial control and social prevention to eliminate domestic violence crime.
