Objective:To research the effect of Shunqitongxie granule on the animal model of diarrhoea irritable bowel syndrome(DIBS) and its mechanism.Methods:On the basis of the function and control of Shunqitongxie granule, which can resist diarrhoea and pain by scattering liver and strengthening spleen.This study has carried through experiments of antidiarrhoea, antihyperkinesia, analgesic, calmness, Antngonizing fag, adopting the mice model of diarrhoea irritable bowel syndrome which was developed by bondage-stimulating the animal, the diarrhoea model of spleen-stomach deficience developed by feeding Dahuang on the mice, the model of excessive intestines athletics stimulated by neostigmine, the normal and hyperkinesia model of rabbit intestines parted from the body, and the mice model of pain caused by acetic acid or heat.ResuIts:On the diarrhoea model of bondage-stimulating,shunqitongxie granule significantly decreased the times and grade and rate of watery stool,the index of diarrhoea,and percent of intestines pushing the charcoal,at the same time it increased the weight of mice.On the diarrhoea model of spleen-stomach deficience,it significantly decreased the times and grade and rate of watery stool and the index of diarrhoea,at the same time it increased the weight and appetite of mice and prolonged the time of swimming.It also obviously decreased the percent of intestines pushing charcoal on the athletics model. Moreover, it reduced the most swing and the average frequency of the athletic curve of normal and hyperkinesias intestines. Furthermore, it significantly reduced the times of tweaking body caused by acetic acid and heighten the pain threshold incurred by the heat.It also cutted down the times of mice favouring forelimbs.Conclusion:Finally,we can infer from the experimental results:Shunqitongxie granule has an obvious effect of curring irritable diarrhoea, ameliorating intestines hyperkinesias, easing pain,Calming,and resisting tiredness.
