Objective:to study the curative effect of Zishen Huoxue method to type 2 diabetic patients with periodontitis,and the effect to FBG.In order to find a safe and effective treatment methods to cure clinical diabetic patients with periodontitis.Methods:this research selected 2008.7-2009.12 from shandong university of traditional Chinese medicine affiliated hospital, dental clinic. In accord with the standard of type 2 DM with periodontitis,We chose 90 cases of patients with female 50 cases, and male40, Randomly divided into three groups:the foundation treatment group, western and Zishen Huoxue method group. Study subjects included baseline data collection, and then gaven periodontal foundation treatment, the western group were given jiaxiaozuo and jiatishaxing and the Zishen Huoxue method group were given Zishen Huoxue method. The foundation treatment group were taken nothing. Three groups of patients in the foundation treatment for 28 days after review periodontal index, TCM symptoms integral and FBG.Result:(1) before therapy during baseline survey, PD,SBI index, TCM symptoms integral, FBG compared between groups has statistically significant (P>0.05), it can be argued that there is no difference between the three groups, can be compared.(2) three groups of PD, SBI index. TCM symptoms integral, FBG after 3 after the treatment group compared with western medicine group, treatment with before treatment group has great significance (P<0.01), three are the effective method for the treatment of periodontitis.between Chinese traditional medicine group in PD SBI value, the comparison of sugar index has no significant difference (P>0.05), but in TCM symptoms of integral has a statistically significant difference(P<0.01),Zishen Huoxue method group in TCM symptoms improved significantly better than western medicine group. Western medicine, Zishen Huoxue method group were statistically significant (P<0.05) compared with the foundation treatment group in PD,SBI index, TCM symptoms integral and FBG..Conclusion:Zishen Huoxue method in the treatment of type 2 diabetes with periodontitis,in improving the periodontal status, controlling inflammation is not inferior, and safer than antibiotic medicine, and non-toxic side effects to patients and reduce pain is better than western medicine group, can be used clinically popularly in type 2 diabetes patients with periodontitis replaced antibiotic medicine.
