Objective To establish a the SD rat endometriosis model to investigate the cake-separated moxibustion treatment of endometriosis possible mechanism. Methods SD rats were randomly divided into normal group and model group, model groups autologous endometrial transplantation, the establishment of endometriosis model. After the end of the modeling were randomly divided into model group, cake-separated moxibustion group, moxibustion group, danazol group, comparing treatment. The end of the experiment, the serum IL-6 and plasma PGE 2 levels were measured by radioimmunoassay, and ectopic endometrial lesions visual observation and histological examination. Results the ① models serum IL-6 and plasma PGE 2 level was significantly higher than in the normal group, the differences were significant (P <0.01, P <0.005); (2) of Medicinal Cake moxibustion, danazol and mild moxibustion three treatment groups compared with the model group, serum IL-6 levels were significantly lower, the differences were statistically significant (P <0.01, P <0.01 and P <0.05), three compared between the treatment groups, the difference was not significant (P> 0.05); (3) three treatment groups plasma PGE 2 level compared with model group were significantly lower, the differences were there was statistically significant significance (P <0.005, P <0.005 and P <0.01); medicine-separated moxibustion and up to that in group differences no significant (P> 0.05); but this two groups with mild moxibustion group compared to , the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05, P <0.05). Conclusion cake-separated moxibustion may reduce serum IL-6 and the plasma PGE: level, regulate the body's immune function, inhibit the growth of ectopic endometrial hyperplasia, to promote its atrophy and other mechanisms in the treatment of endometriosis, its efficacy and wow similar, better than the mild moxibustion. This method seems to be an effective way for the clinical treatment of endometriosis.
