Abstract


Interest group politics is democracy a common phenomenon in Western industrial countries , and particularly in the U.S. is typical . Interest group politics is very well developed in the United States , has an important influence on American politics , and thus very concerned about the academic study of American interest group politics , the results are also very rich . And interest groups on the campaign trail is also very active campaign from the United States to explore the far-reaching influence of interest groups in American politics has become an important perspective to the study of modern American politics . This paper analyzes the background of the American interest group of the links and differences between two similar concepts of interest groups and pressure groups , the influence and role of interest groups in the United States election campaign and then analyzed from three aspects : First, in the context of the American two-party system , the similarities and differences between the political parties and interest groups , from the constitutional government of the United States , the two-party system , the electoral system and other aspects of the system causes interest groups . In this environment , the interests of the Group's principal activities is to carry out lobbying and influence the election . Due to the surge in the number of interest groups , lobbyists and influence campaign flooding , Congress had to formulate corresponding laws and regulations limit the activities of interest groups . Second, the article describes the use of mechanisms of U.S. interest groups to influence the election campaign of the United States . To do a detailed analysis and interest groups to express interest demands of the members of the group and to maintain political influence (build their own political action committee , fundraising and donations , the council members of Congress , to mobilize grassroots voters ) . Finally, the article focuses on two aspects of positive and negative analysis of the impact of interest groups on the U.S. election campaign .
