Wireless multimedia sensor networks (WMSNs) is developed on the basis of the traditional wireless sensor networks (WSNs) with a new type of sensor network for audio, video, images and other multimedia information perception. With only a simple environmental data acquisition functions compared to traditional wireless sensor networks, wireless multimedia sensor networks can achieve fine-grained, accurate information for environmental monitoring, has a very broad application prospects in the military.
