Abstract


Establish a good general-purpose network management system in operation in the network management is necessary, it can give the network administrator to provide a good source of information, reduce network failures, shorten the network of effective time and maximize network efficiency. Therefore, this paper puts forward a new idea and method to construct campus network with Web tube system.This article aims to explore the Web technology in network management system, for Web-based network management system solutions. Web-based network management system with distributed, cross platform, simple, platform independent, easy to maintain. Firstly we introduce the research background of significance and research status the campus network management system. We will research focuses mainly on the campus network, based on Web design and development and management system of network management system based on Web of cross-platform-ability and portability. Secondly we introduce the theoretical basis and techniques of network management system based on Web, which includes the basic concepts of simple network management protocol (SNMP) and working principle, structure of management information (SMI), information management (MIB), etc. Then we also mainly use the simple network management protocol (SNMP) for our design, which are from the system structure, composition and the development situation of the studied. If we adopt SNMP simple network management protocol we can solve the TCP/IP protocol and the problem, then we can be better realize network management system, and improve the function of network management performance. Third, we mainly research the technology of WBM, standard and related Web technology. Finaly, we complete the WBM with Web technology combining network technology and management personnel, providing more powerful network management ability. At the end, we use Web technology, Java technology and combined with SNMP complete the system design and gain the main function of thenetwork management system.The system consists of network configuration management, fault management, traffic performance management, device performance management of four modules, Network Configuration Management is mainly the configuration information for SNMP and non SNMP configuration information to complete the creation of a variety of data, query, modify, delete. Fault management is to maintain the activities of network services, its main task is to detect, isolate and correct network faults. Performance management of the main flow of traffic data collection to complete the function. Equipment performance management is for data collection, storage and processing.
