Abstract


through analyzing the formation, development and present situation of Chinese drama art and national vocal music, this article focuses on the characteristic of drama vocal music in vocalization such as pronunciation, breathing, resonance and makes comparison and contrast between the drama and national vocal music in vocalization. The writer reckons that the national vocal music nowadays just goes after the vocalization of western bel canto but gradually lose the characteristic of our nation, so the experience of drama art should be used for reference to develop the national characteristic of Chinese national vocal music. The long standing and well established Chinese drama art successfully preserves its national characteristic. It is necessary for the national vocal music to be scientific but it should not abandon the notational characteristic. Learning from drama, national vocal music should forward its national characteristic as well to maintain its vigor and value that cannot be substituted by other types of arts.
