Abstract

Objective : To evaluate the TGD right Hyperactivity improvement in symptoms of hypertension and left ventricular diastolic function . Methods: A randomized , single-blind study . Select the initial diagnosis of primary hypertension, not taking any antihypertensive drugs , TCM is Hyperactivity in patients taking Norvasc ( amlodipine ) 5mg / d , based on a randomized 1:1 allocated to receive TGD granules ( 2 times / d) or metoprolol ( metoprolol ) 12.5mg (2 times / d) treatment. After 4 weeks of treatment , clinical symptoms were evaluated in semi-quantitative integration method , evaluation of left ventricular diastolic function using conventional two-dimensional echocardiography ultrasound Doppler spectrum mitral peak early diastolic flow (E peak ) , late diastolic blood peak flow (A peak ) and its ratio between the two E / A as an indicator . Within each group before and after treatment and symptom scores between the two groups , E peak , A peak , E / A ratio without significant difference . Results: The patients completed the treatment program were 60 cases , two groups of 30 cases . TGD group after treatment TCM symptom score decreased (5.96 ± 3.58), and treatment score (14.40 ± 4.46) compared to a significant difference (P <0.05), and the degree of improvement is better than metoprolol group ( 10.90 ± 3.66, P <0.01). Left ventricular diastolic function was normal cases (E / A> 1) TGD group of 11 patients , 10 patients with metoprolol showed no significant difference (P> 0.05). Before and after treatment comparison group , TGD group E peak increased (0.67 ± 0.16 VS 0.76 ± 0.16), E / A value is increased (0.76 ± 0.10 VS 0.94 ± 0.20) were significantly different (P <0.01); A peak reduction , compared with before treatment there was significant difference (0.90 ± 0.16 VS 0.81 ± 0.14, P <0.05). However, and metoprolol group showed no significant difference . Conclusion: This study shows that TGD increased mitral peak early diastolic flow (E peak ) , lower peak late diastolic flow (A peak ) , to improve both the ratio E / A, improve Hyperactivity left ventricular diastolic function in hypertensive patients , efficacy strength and metoprolol 12.5mg (2 times / d) rather ; improve hyperactivity symptoms of hypertension , more effective than metoprolol group .
