Abstract


With the era of the development and reform of military education advancing the educational outcomes of the mental health of the cadets have gradually recognized the military academies and schools and other social institutions, but the psychological health education and research on specific military branches minority cadets also obviously insufficient especially for the experimental study of mental health education of minority cadets even more weak. I proceed from the actual situation of border defense Mongolian soldiers of a military academy trainees developed an eight-week experimental program of mental health education, the content of the program is based on the self-esteem education as the core, in order to enhance students' self-concept, self-control sense of self- efficacy, confidence level, the development of self-adaptability as a means and a combination of group counseling and individual psychological counseling self-development of mental health education model. The purpose of this study is to explore the establishment of the new ways of the frontier defense featuring Mongolian cadets mental health education from an empirical point of view, for border institutions to carry out the ethnic minority students mental health education to provide reference. The experimental study using stratified cluster sampling method to extract the the frontier defense Mongolian cadets of the freshman and sophomore two-year total of 77 man-made subjects, the main trial by the same two natural classes implement the same set of educational programs, and symptoms self-rating scale (SCL-90) and the Self-Esteem Scale (SES), the pre-test and post-test of the experimental group. The conclusions of this study include ① the frontier defense Mongolian cadet in the pre-test scores, SCL-90 of some factor points higher than the national norm and there are significant grade differences; ② through education, two-year border Mongolian cadet the level of mental health has improved to varying degrees; 2005 sophomore students compulsion, interpersonal sensitivity, out of the three factors on the SCL-90 test scores than pretest scores highly significant reduction (P lt; 0.01), depression, anxiety, hostility, psychosis, post-test scores on the positive items five factors than pretest scores significantly decreased (P lt; 0.05); 2006 freshman students in interpersonal sensitivity post-test scores on the two factors psychotic than pretest scores significantly decreased (P lt; 0.05); the the the ③ border defense Mongolian cadets score ≥ 160, factor score ≥ 2 and factor scores ≥ 3 cumulative times than before the experiment after experiment number three indicators, there has been a marked reduction in both improved to some extent; ④ two grades border Mongolian cadet self-esteem after the experiment than before the experiment, and has not yet reached the assumed significance level, but that does not negate the validity of the experiment; ⑤ general point of view, self-esteem is the core of the self-development of mental health education model is effective, and more suitable for the sophomore border defense Mongolian cadet; ⑥ from the Mental Health the educational experiment results, the self-esteem level of non-significant the improved potential to The Symptom Checklist some factor scores significantly reduce significantly improve student mental health level; raise the level of mental health does not necessarily require significantly improve the self-esteem level, the role of self-esteem on mental health should be indirect core.
