Hemoglobin(Hb)is an ideal molecules to study the direct electron transfer of redox proteins. In this paper, the mobilization of Hemeoglobin has been tried with multi-walled carbon nanotubes on the graphite electrode by embedding. The FI-IR and TEM show that the puried carbon nanotubes had abundant oxide groups which could combin with hemeoglobin effectively,is beneficial to reduction of pollutant. UV-vis analysis showed that hemeoglobin could keep the native activity. The cyclic voltammetry was applied to study the electrochemical behavior of Hb-SA/CNT grapite electrode. The results manifested that the direct electron transfers of hemeoglobin was available, the modified electrode has a good stability. The cyclic voltammetry of different scan rate indicated that the reduction peak current is linear with scan rate in scan scale which means the electrode process is controlled by surface reaction. The cycle voltammograms measured in various pH PBS demonstrated that the proton transfer is accompanied by the redox reaction, and the modified electrode could make the reduction potential of TCA positive shifted ,with a high reduction dechlorination activity of TCAA.The Hb-SA/CNT grapite electrode was used to dechlorinate TCAA at constan-potential. The result indicated that the removal efficiency of TCAA was over 90% while the supporting electrolyte was 10 mmol/L after 40 hours electrolysis with Hb-SA/CNT grapite electrode in pH 3.0 PBS. The qualitative analysis of degradation products of the degradation pathway may be obtained: TCAA→DCAA→MCAA→acetic acid.
