Abstract

In this dissertation, we demonstrate the construction of large-scale nanostructured arrays based on colloidal monolayer and electrochemical deposition technique, investigation on their structure-related properties and prototype devices. The thesis mainly focuses on design of new colloidal lithography methods, morphology-controlled synthesis of nanostructured arrays, structure-related properties and array-derivational prototype devices. The main research results and originalities of the thesis are as follows:Construction techniques: Based on colloidal monolayer, we advance one-step electrochemical deposition method, bring forward double templated method and design stepwise colloidal lithography method; Based on these methods, many nanostructured arrays were constructed with novel morphology such as, hollow sphere, hierarchical and binary structure. Such nanostructured arrays are large in size, which is favorable both for the investigation on their structure-related properties and the realization of corresponding nanodevices.Structure-related properties: We study Ni(OH)2 micro/nano- structured monolayer hollow sphere array and its optical properties. This array shows tunable optical transmission stop band from visible- to the near infrared region, and the position of stop band is independent on incident angle of transmission beam, while sensitive to environmental gases. Based on these results, we bring forward the model of equivalent double-layer photonic crystals, which provides a new kind of photonic crystals to avoid the limitation of incident angle-dependent stop band. In addition, we study gold mirco/nano- hierarchically structured particle array and its structure-related surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) effect. Based on these, we design and fabricate a novel follower-like gold miro/nano- structure with nanogaps in large-density, with shows strong SERS effect with detection on ppt scale.Prototype devices: We design various prototype devices including optical gas sensors based on equivalent double layer photonic crystal, biosensors based on SERS active substrate and wavemeter in transmission mode based on ordered pore array.
