Between the end of Song Dynasty and the early Yuan Dynasty, Liu Chenweng was the famous man in his time because he was loyal and steadfast to his country. He had a distinguished literary talent, so he had maken a considerarble achievement in poem, ci ,and prose . His literary pingdian has covered poem ,ci, prose, and fiction.( pingdian is a traditional term often used in the academic field of Chinese, means "preparing commentaries and punctuation for literary works". To save space the term won’t be explained in the subsequent text.) As regards the scope and number, nobody among his contemporaries and the predecessors had ever surpassed LiuChenweng in the field of pingdian. In particular, he was the first pingdian auther of the fiction, of shishuoxinyu . His pingdian had a profound and lasting influence on the later generations, so we can say Liu Chenweng had played a decisive role in the history of literature and learned society.In the paper, the auther’ research, ralated to the total background of time and culture, mainly centers on the LiuChenweng and comprehensively inquire into his life story and family ,his teachers and students, his friends, his writings compiting and spreading, his literary article and literary pingdian.The paper includes three part . Part one, including chapter one and chapter two, is outer study ,This part inspects Liu Chenweng’ life story ,family and friends, literary advocating. Part two, including chapter three ,chapter four and chapter five, inspects LiuChenweng’poem, ci ,and prose. Part three is chapter six, mainly shed light upon Liu Chenweng’ literary pingdian.The paper entitled intuoduction firstly present a comprehensively intuoduction and comments regarding Liu Chenweng’ study, the auther analyses the insufficient in the study of Liu Chenweng and ralate the reason of selected topic, research methed, and the rough frame of the paper.Chapter one is the narration of life story ,family, his teachers and students, and his friends, meanwhile, the anther correct the error of the predecessors.Chapter two, according to the twenty preface and postscript and his literary pingdian, the auther induces and summarizes the literary opinion and advocating, at the same time, attempt to seek the reasons of time and cuiture.Chapter three, seeing from the angle of particular time and cuiture ,deal with the poem of Liu Chenweng. The section analyses the achievement of poem through the thought content and artistic characteristic. In the end of the section, the auther simplely analyses the cause of his poem style.In chapter four, Liu Chenweng’ ci is divided into Yongchunci, shouci and the others, his ci had profound thought content ,soon afterwards, the auther summarizes the artistic skill and means of artistic expression of Xuxici and point out that Xuxici mix together Haofangpai ci and Wanyuepai ci, so Xuxici has a unique style. In the end of the section, the style of Xuxici is simplely analysed.In chapter five, Liu Chenweng’ prose is totally classified the odd and open style, his prose is distinguished from the amiable and easy style of Song Dynasty’ prose.Chapter six starts with the origination of pingdian, and then summrizes the cause of Liu Chenweng’ pingdian. According to the records of historical documents, the section intuoduces the works of Liu Chenweng’ pingdian. In the last, the auther summrizes and intuoduces the metheds of Liu Chenweng’ pingdian, so as to the reader look for his characteristic of pingdian.In the end of the paper, the auther argue the part that the paper has not spread out and reply the doubts of the study exists, This section intend to lead the study to the deepen.
