Abstract

From the point of effectively modification of alkyl polyglycosides (APG), amide bondand polyoxyethylene were induced between alkyl radical and glucose. Non-ionic surfactantstearic ethanolamide polyoxyethylene ether glucopyranosides were synthesized and theirsurface physicochemical properties and absorbing and keeping moisture rate were investigated,as well. The results showed that they had good keeping moisture rate. What we did providedthe theory basis to develop APG derivatives, too.1. Different polymerization degree of stearic ethanolamide polyoxyethylenes ether weresynthesized from stearic acid, monoethanolamine and ethylene oxide in two steps usingpotassium hydroxide as catalyst. The optimal conditions were obtained. The polymerizationwas carried out in steps, and the polymeric temperature was140℃. Their structure wereidentified using IR,1H NMR. Surface physicochemical properties of products with differentpolymerization degree of EO were determined as well. When EO degree was5surface tensionreached26.8mN/m, CMC8×10-4g/mL.2. Stearic ethanolamide polyoxyethylene ether glucopyranoside with differentpolymerization degree (n) of epoxyethane (EO) were synthesized by acetylation-alcoholysisreaction. First, the glucose was activated by acetic anhydride with the temperature was120℃and the reaction time was2h,when the reaction was over the product was purified byalcohol with the temperature was0℃.Second, the product of first step with BF3·Et2O reactedat0℃in6h. Third, the product of second step was alcoholysised by methyl alcohol to obtainthe final product. Their structure were identified using IR,1H NMR. The relationship betweendegree of polymerization of EO and surface physicochemical properties of products wasstudied.3. Regarding the absorbing and keeping moisture performance, although the absorbingmoisture performace of glueoside was in inferior to glycerine. The properties of keeping moisture performace of glueoside was better than glycerine. Therefore, it was respected toreplace glycerine and become a new member in the humectant.
