Abstract


Metal materials find their wide application in social life and national defense. High pressure equation of state of the metal is to study the properties of the basis of high temperature and pressur. A precise melting curve is of great significance in formulating the equation of state of metals.This thesis will discuss the solid and liquid equation of state of the metals Al, Fe and Mo on high pressure, and determine the melting curve. this thesis has the following findings:1.The Sonic Velocity-Pressure Intensity curve decides the initial melting point and complete melting point of Al, Fe, and Mo as follows: (125GPa,160GPa)、(225GPa,260GPa)and(380GPa,390GPa).With the help of Hügoniot Equation of state, the densities of three matters at those melting charateristics points can be decided(4.4 g/cm~3,4.605 g/cm~3)(12.15 g/cm~3,12.4 g/cm~3)and(16.6 g/cm~3,16.7 g/cm~3).Those data is the base to determine the melting tempetature and melting curve.2、In the three-item equation of state, the parameters of the equation can be decided with the help of relevant literatures and experimental date. With the comparison of temperature and pressure intensity derived from the equation to experimental Hügoniot curve, it shows that three-item equation of state is reasonable and the parameters are believable.3. In the light of Solid-Liquid Mixed Metal State Equation by Grover,combinated with the Hügoniot curve and melting charateristics points the melting temperature of Al, Fe, and Mo at the beginning melting points and complete melting points of SW are (5245K,5580K)、(4800K,5256K)and(8600K,8732K)respectively.4. In the light of the melting temperature of SW and the melting model of crystal material by Lindemann, the melting curve of Al, Fe, and Mo under high pressure can be worked out. Although there remains a certain discrepancy compared to the DAC experimental data , the curve is in accordance with SW experimental data and others theoretical working. Thus the curve under high pressure can be referred to.5.In the light of the equation of state of liquid metal by Grover,the equation of liquid metal has been formulated and checked against experimental Hügoniot Curve. It shows that the Hügoniot Curve from the equation is in full accordance to experimental data, which proves that the melting temperature and curve is realistic.
