Abstract


Objective To observe the expression of Kruppel-like4(Kruppel like factor4of KLF4) in hepatocellular carcinoma (hepatocellular carcinoma, HCC), and explore the possible molecular biological mechanism of KLF4in hepatocellular carcinoma.Methods Selection of operation resection specimens from patients with40cases, immunohistochemical technology testing and comparison of KLF4in human normal liver tissue, liver cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma expression.Results Immunohistochemical method to demonstrate that the KLF4protein in the tissue of positive cell cytoplasm in expression, and in normal liver, liver cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma tissue was expressed in the. The expression differences between normal liver tissue and liver cirrhosis tissues was no statistically significant (P>0.05); The expression differences between normal liver tissue and carcinoma tissue was statistically significant (P<0.05); The expression differences between liver cirrhosis tissues and carcinoma tissue was also statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion KLF4protein in hepatocellular carcinoma tissues in the cytoplasm showed low expression, inference of KLF4as a tumor suppressor gene negative regulation of liver cell proliferation and differentiation. KLF4as a tumor suppressor gene acts as a very important role in hepatocellular carcinoma pathogenesis and disease progression.
