Abstract

Second round of examination plays an important part in graduates’ enrollment. Scholars talk about the second round of examination and express different opinions. Some scholars emphasis explore the importance of second round of examination, some analyze its problems and solutions, and others emphasis the interview of the second examination. Actually,these researches are valuable for improving master’s second round of examination,but these finished studies seldom research in index system of graduate’s second round of examination,especially in establishment of index system of engineering master’s second round of examination. As we know, building index system of engineering master’s second round of examination is not only helpful for effectively choosing competent people to admissions units, but also for the job of master’s recruitment that can reach the canonical and scientifically development. Just for this purpose, the author named this Master’s Thesis as "Establishment of Index System of Engineering Master’s Second Round of Examination".Surrounding with building index system of engineering master’s second round of examination, this study defines concepts of the "master’s second round of examination", "engineering", and "index system" with using the methods of interview survey、documentary analysis, ascertains basis and principles of building the index system of engineering master’s second round of examination. So a complete index system of engineering master’s second examination containing three levels of indicators is come into being, and its operational details of indicators are be explained in this article.The main part of establishment of index system of engineering master’s second round of examination is composed of "formative processes"、" interpretation of content" and "key points of implementation".In the "formative processes",this study makes the policy、education、empirical foundation clear about building the index system, analyzes 5 principles and integral ideas of designing this index system, and describes the content component of three-level indicators and their relationships; In the " interpretation of content", this article emphases concrete meanings of the index system, analyzes the weight system in detail; In "key points of implementation", this research explains the target of assessment、the type of assessment、the main body of assessment、the object of assessment, illustrates suggestions about indicators’ calculation collection of data.In the opinion of author,the index system of engineering master’s second round of examination should consist of general indicators、particular indicators and referenced indicators. The features of this research reflect in two main aspects:(1)Using the way of interview,we acquire lots of vivid and detailed information.and on the basis of these information,we set up the index system of engineering master’s second round of examination. This shows a certain amount of innovativeness. (2)A preliminary index system of engineering master’s second round of examination that has been established can breakthrough previous studies that emphasis on the model——" the problem-the reason-the countermeasure".
