Abstract


Language is kind of basic knowledge which researches of other subjects are basedon and has been developed into a comprehensive study crossed and syncretized by othersubjects. This essay is on the theme of mobile phone news language, which presents thefeature of news title="View other similar 'text' dissertation">text structure, news titles and the discourses. It also reveals the impactmade by the external language form on the news dissemination.Chapter one is to recognize the system of the mobile phone news and its languagesigns. First, the concepts of mobile phone newspaper and mobile phone news aredifferentiated and defined. Next, the social background of the mobile phone news isanalyzed in the consideration of the way of media communication via mobile phones.The sociality of mobile phone news is embodied in the information source which isgenerated by the society and is disseminated under the influence of politics, economy,and culture in the social system. Finally, the mobile phone news language signs areanalyzed for the further research of news text structure and the discourses.Chapter two is about the narrative discourses of news. News narratology concludesthat there are points of similarity between news discourses and language sentences interms of category and structure. The function of mobile news text title, leads, subject,background, conclusion, and criticism is analyzed through the comparison between thestructure of the six elements and the sentence constitution. Thereby the mobile phonenews is characterized.Chapter three is about the news incarnated titles, which features the core positionof the titles in the mobile phone news. The language characteristics of the titles areanalyzed by means of exerting the theory of the Basic Level Concept in the CognitiveLinguistics. Moreover, the ways of the titles in which the readers scan and accept aswell as the prominence of the media information presents are explained in combinationof the Iconicity Principles of the titles.Chapter four is about the significance of the mobile phone discourses for therealization of the communication value. The study of the mobile phone news discoursesis combined with the contexts which are subject to the variations of the connectionamong the interior, the situation, and of the discourse itself. As a result, the differences among the mobile phone news, traditional news and website news are concluded.Chapter five is about the social functions of the news language in the disseminationprocess. Being a kind of communication media, the mobile phone news should take itsfunction into consideration when being disseminated. This chapter works on therelationship between the mobile phone news language and the two factors in thedissemination-----channel and audience.
